Milo Lockett Anacapri Materia Artist

Milo Lockett is a self-taught plastic artist from Chaco who began his career after working for several years in the textile industry. In 2002 he closed his textile printing and factory and wholly abandoned his business activities to dedicate himself entirely to painting. Of Argentine nationality, born on December 1, 1967, he lives and works in Resistencia, his hometown. From his workshop, located at Irigoyen 456 “B,” Milo managed to create, in a short time, a visual identity that made him an unprecedented sales success. His references are found in the work of Jorge de la Vega, Nigro, Macció and Deira.

Milo Lockett’s audience ranges from major collectors to young employees and professionals looking for his first work of art. Milo Lockett annually donates an average of 40 works for auctions to benefit the Resistance Pediatric Hospital; work carried out with adolescents within an HIV prevention project – Argentine Red Cross. In addition, he has collaborated with UNICEF in the project “A Minute for my Rights” in the 7th Meeting of Children and Young Sculptors under the theme “The Monsters of Berni and Juanito Laguna”. He has conducted massive open-air painting workshops at the Triple Frontier Festival, Paraguay, Brazil and Argentina, Chaco, Jujuy, Corrientes, Misiones, Santa Fe, and Buenos Aires.
